Hand-assembled from 1,141 parts. The hinged engine hood opens on a self-locking bracket to reveal a miniature of the twelve-cylinder V-engine with all ancillaries, pipework and cabling. Spoke wheels on aluminium rims with hand-laced stainless-steel spokes, screw-on Borrani central locks, a carpeted cabin with leather-covered bucket seats, a Nardi three-spoke steering wheel in wood look, and a detailed underbody with steel tube frame complete the picture.

Ferrari is known to this day as the most prestigious maker of Gran Turismo cars. From the mid-1950s to the early 1960s the 250 GT Berlinetta dominated the big GT class — first with the long wheelbase and, from 1959 until production ended in 1962, with the short wheelbase as the "passo corto" or "SWB". Around 165 of the SWB were built in that time.
Hardly any other car shaped Ferrari's story more lastingly and emotionally. Famous drivers such as Stirling Moss, Wolfgang Graf Berghe von Trips, John Surtees and Maurice Trintignant made it almost obligatory to race a 250. CMC presents this classic as a top-quality precision model of the street version (Stradale) with luxury (Lusso) trim.
